HORSE & YOU

A 5-night immersive equestrian journey

At La Donaira, we don’t simply ride horses. We observe them, listen to them and learn to understand their world.
Set within our 700-hectare biodynamic estate in Andalusia, Horse & You brings together natural horsemanship, riding, life within the herd, breeding, wellbeing, seed-to-plate gastronomy and immersion in nature.
Guests discover the philosophy behind La Donaira’s Lusitano breeding programme and explore the remarkable relationship between horses and humans, learning how trust, patience, awareness and communication can change the way we are with them.
Whether encountering this world for the first time or bringing years of experience, Horse & You is an invitation to become more attentive: to read behaviour, question familiar assumptions and understand horses on their own terms.

WHO CAN JOIN

Each journey is highly personalised. You will follow a shared rhythm while certain activities will be adapted according to your own experience.

THE OBSERVER: You are a beginner or non-rider, or simply feel drawn to horses beyond riding. You’re seeking a meaningful connection, one where observation, trust and understanding become the foundation of the relationship.

THE EXPLORER: You are an occasional rider wishing to build confidence, communication and understanding. You’re ready to deepen your bond with horses, moving beyond technique toward a more intuitive way of riding.

THE RIDER: You are an experienced rider looking to refine technique, sensitivity and partnership. You’re seeking to elevate a skill you already have, exploring subtler forms of communication with the horse.
